Check your LEI status and renewal date

Enter your company name, organization number or LEI code to see the live status of your LEI in the Global LEI Index — including the exact renewal date and which issuer currently manages it. If renewal is coming up, compare prices before you auto-renew: you can renew with any provider, and your LEI code never changes.

Live data from the GLEIF Global LEI Index. Norwegian (9-digit), Swedish (10-digit) and Danish (8-digit) registry numbers are matched automatically.

Frequently asked questions

What does “LAPSED” mean?
The LEI was not renewed by its renewal date. The code still exists, but many banks, brokers and counterparties reject lapsed LEIs. Renewing (with any provider) reactivates it — the code stays the same.
Do I have to renew with the same provider?
No. Any GLEIF-accredited issuer or registration agent covering your jurisdiction can renew your LEI. The transfer between providers is free by GLEIF rules and is handled as part of the renewal. See LEI transfer explained.
Why do renewal prices differ so much?
LEI renewal is a standardized process, but retail prices vary several-fold between providers in the same country. Our renewal comparison shows current prices with the date each price was last checked.
Where does this data come from?
Status, renewal date and managing issuer come live from the official GLEIF API. Prices come from our reviewed comparison database — see the methodology.
