A Local Operating Unit is accredited by GLEIF to issue, renew, transfer and maintain LEI records. The issuer validates entity data and publishes updates to the Global LEI Index.
Registration Agent
A Registration Agent can collect customer information, support the application process and work with one or more accredited issuers. For most customers, the practical question is total price, validity, turnaround, support and renewal terms.
How LEI Price Check treats them
The comparison table labels provider type visibly. Both direct LOUs and agents can produce valid LEIs, but users should understand who performs the accredited issuing role.
